Bernadette Giardina, ASA

Giardina Fine Art Appraisal Services provides professional art appraisals for clients across the United States. Owner, Bernadette Giardina, Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) American Society of Appraisers; is experienced and is in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as required by law for professional appraisers. Additionally, she stays current with coursework required by the American Society of Appraisers. 

Bernadette has over 35 years of experience in the art business. She was the Assistant Director of Harbor Gallery, a New York City firm specializing in 19th and 20th century prints and works on paper. She went on to become director of Steppingstone Gallery in Great Neck, New York where she bought and sold American and European paintings of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Now, she is the owner of Giardina Fine Art, an art consulting business that for the past 20 years has provided artwork to corporate and residential clients in the Northeast. 

Giardina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and a Master’s degree in Art History. She has studied art history in Italy and has worked in art conservation studios in both New York and Italy. In addition, she has completed coursework in the study of ceramics, furniture and Native American artifacts. She is the author of the catalogue raisonne of the American printmaker Kerr Eby.

Giardina’s experience, expertise and education qualify her to provide professional, credible appraisal reports for all intended uses.
